Cody Cameron is a Professional Geologist with over 15 years of experience in the geoscience industry and is based out of Smithers, BC. Mr. Cameron has had a broad career in geology and has worked with consulting firms that specialize in contaminated sites (physical and chemical hydrogeology), mine permitting, groundwater supply, landfill design and monitoring, geotechnical engineering, and geoexchange. Prior to working in the consulting industry, Mr. Cameron worked in mineral exploration with DeBeers Diamonds as a summer student and a contract geologist. Mr. Cameron is equipped with skills in field work, data analysis, mentorship and management and has worked on projects ranging from single family homes to major superfund sites. Mr. Cameron's career has taken him to diverse landscapes throughout Western North America and the Arctic. He has continually sought to expand his expertise through training and development, as well as by taking on increasing levels of responsibility on a wide range of projects. He has Auto-Cad design capabilities, and is familiar with GINT, WINLOG, Aquifer Test, AQTESOLV, MODFLOW and Grapher software. Mr. Cameron received his undergraduate geology degree from the University of Saskatchewan and his environmental engineering post-graduate diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Mr. Cameron has also completed a graduate level course on advanced hydrogeology from the University of British Columbia and attended various training courses related to contaminant hydrogeology, acid rock drainage and geoexchange. Mr. Cameron has been a member of APEGBC as a Professional Geologist since 2008 and is also a member of the National Groundwater Association, AME BC, BC Groundwater Association and the Smithers Exploration Group.
